Hall Ryan Laboratories produces biosensors based on proprietary medical technology used for patient monitoring. Our bio-sensors are not limited to fingers, like in hospitals. While we do use conventional heart rate monitors that require a chest strap, Hall Ryan Laboratories also has monitors the size of a quarter that read pulse rate and oxygen saturation from the forehead and various other parts of the body.

Hall Ryan Laboratories has a sports safety division that specializes in helmet biosensors for contact-sports such as football and hockey. The sensors can read pulse rate, oxygen saturation and body temperature.

TSM Thermal Sensor Mouthguard™ For Monitoring Oral Temperature in Preventing Heat Stress
When using in football, the TSM clips onto the faceguard like a regular sports mouth guard. The data plug is then plugged into the face guard just above the tether.
Pressure Laminate Mouth Guards are considered the highest quality sports mouth guards on the market with the highest level of protection against concussions. Now, it also includes protection against heat stress via a patented thermal sensor embedded in the mouth guard.

The Micro System
Our newest product is being reduced down to a micro chip size for complete inclusion in the mouth guard. This is a revolutionary product that will benefit not only football players, but also fire fighters and battlefield soldiers. The Micro System transmits to a larger transceiver on the wearer for longer transmissions in remote areas. This new system is scheduled for launch in 2010.
The Micro System monitors body temperature and concussion data from accelerometers strategically located inside the orthotic.
The sensor includes power source, accelerometers, thermal sensors and transceivers for wireless streaming of the vital sign data.
HRL-DOD-1X Battlefield Biomonitoring System
You saw it in the movie "Aliens", but you've never seen it in real life. HRL-DOD-1X monitors vital signs and runs on Bluetooth for data transmission. At only 3.5 ounces of weight, it easily integrates into the infantrymen's standard gear. Video accessory is optional.
