Hall Ryan Laboratories Launches Remote Bio-monitoring System for Industrial Safety
Los Angeles, California July 28, 2008. Hall Ryan Laboratories, Inc. a developer of remote bio-monitoring systems has announced the successful deployment of a system used to monitor the vital signs of workers in hazardous environments. The IM1 ManDown system (IM1 stands for In Mask Model 1) was deployed at the ConocoPhillips oil plant in Kuparuk, Alaska this past week and went live on July 24th at 1:00 PM PST.
The IM1 ManDown system is comprised of a reflective pulse oximeter sensor mounted inside an SCBA (self contained breathing apparatus) to align with the wearer’s forehead. The sensor reads pulse rate on oxygen saturation. The vital sign data is then transmitted via Bluetooth from inside the mask to a proprietary node referred to as an Intelligent Network Node (INN). The INN acts like a portable cell tower and transmits the vital sign data to Hall Ryan Laboratories central servers on the Global BioNetwork (www.globalbionet.com). Any client can log onto the Global BioNetwork and view real-time streaming vital sign data of their employees working in dangerous environments.

All the client needs are the biosensors and an INN and their monitoring their worker’s vital sign data from anywhere in the world.”
